Magical Villa

vieWe stayed at Villa Ligea with two other couples in September 2010 for 10 days we will not soon forget. The villa is very elegant and well appointed with terraced gardens and a private pool area, all with magnificent vistas of the Mediterranean and of Positano. The views of Positano from the terraces of the villa cannot be surpassed! We dined al fresco almost every evening we were at the villa with fantastic ws of Positano as our background. Christina, who provided expert daily concierge services, arranged for grocery deliveries, restaurant reservations, boat reservations, transportation, tour and shopping advise. She is an invaluable resource for anything you would need to know about the area. Daily maid and grounds keeping services are also provided. Continental breakfast arrives every morning. We were thoroughly spoiled! All bedrooms are very large and comfortable. All, except one (though it has full views of the Mediterranean), have balconies or terraces opening to the Mediterranean. All bathrooms are en suite, very large and state of the art. Positano is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. The public bus stops just across the villa though it is usually quite crowded. Taxis or other private transport (we used Flavio Gioia and highly recommend it) are very reliable. Villa Ligea is heaven on earth and we would not hesitate to return to it.

Amazing!!!

My new wife and family have just spent our honeymoon at your amzing villa. After getting married in Positano we then spent an incredible week at the beautiful Villa Lighea. The location, views, decor and amenities exceeded our high expectations. It was just breathtaking. Roberto met us on arrival and made us very welcome. Christina made herself available 24hrs a day for any queries and trip planning etc throughout our stay. The villa was cleaned daily and the fabulous pool and gardens were also cleaned and swept daily. The staff were so kind and friendly. It was like a scene from a James Bond movie. It was the ultimate in comfort and luxury. We have sworn to revisit to celebrate our forthcoming anniversary's. Thank you for making our wedding so perfect. Dave & Veronica Hawkins

Our recent stay

We stayed at Villa Lighea recently ( from June 12th thru 19th) and would highly recommend it ! Manuela , Roberto and Christine are all great to work with and the villa is in a terrific location. Just be prepared to walk the steps ( 270) down to Arienzo beach but it is well worth it. And ( as we discovered) if anyone needs a good pharmacist , Roberto is always available to lend a hand. Thanks to Roberto , Manuela and Christine for making our stay a very pleasant one , and if we come back to Positano I will contact you directly instead of going thru an agency.. Spectacular! The pictures don't do it justice.

This villa is a paradise getaway. My family stayed there earlier this summer (May) as our last destination on our Italia tour, and we could not have asked for a better ending. Villa Lighea is spectacular by itself - spacious, well-designed, energy efficiency-focused, and modern - with more than plenty of room for our party of 8. Put it in the context of Positano, a beautiful, amazing little city, and this villa is even more appreciated for the gem that it is. The views from the villa include the Positano mountainside and ocean, and the town is only a 15 minute walk away. The walk goes by quickly, and we didn't mind at all, but be aware if you're traveling with someone who needs certain assistance. On that note, the pretty, black-stoned beach is a 8 minute walk down hundreds of stair steps; not for those who would struggle with such activity. Our group included teenagers, and they had a great time both at the Villa and in town. Roberto cooked a delicious meal that was prepared for us when we arrived - a great choice because we were able to have the leftovers as snacks for several days. Manuela was welcoming and warm throughout our stay. In particular, Maureen, the personal concierge-type staff woman and our new friend, was sweet, thoughtful, and very accommodating. We had wonderful service - always cookies and coffee in the morning! - and the entire staff made sure our needs were met and any questions we had were answered. On a side note, if you want to take a car service anywhere, I'd highly recommend Gaetano ("Guy"). I'm not sure if he's directly associated with Villa Lighea, but he was absolutely wonderful. We used him to get back and forth to Rome, and he was hilarious and quite a character, but also safe and very knowledgeable. My family still reminiscences at least once a week about our stay in Positano. Thank you Maureen, Manuela, and Roberto for a happy, fun-filled family vacation. We cannot wait to come back! Until then, we'll be dreaming about laying on the villa's patio in the sun and recommending you to our friends back here in PA.

Extraordinary Visit to Villa Lighea

Along with nine other women I was a guest at Villa Lighea/Villa Rizzo from September 26 to October 3, 2009. We were celebrating a 60th birthday. The villa is extraordinary!! We were so cared for that we felt "at home" and were saddened that we had only a week stay. Maureen went "above and beyond" to ensure our every need was met, often far exceeding our expectations. The villa is beautiful, just as the pictures depict, and the views are phenomenal......every evening was ended with a few hours sitting on the balcony overlooking the beautiful city of Positano and the Bay of Amalfi. It was a "heavenly" week! Manuela and Roberta are kind and caring people who made sure, personally, and with Maureen's assistance, that our stay was memorable. I highly recommend Villa Lighea/Villa Rizzo to all who want an unforgetable visit to the Amalfi Coast. Positano and the Amalfi Coast are perhaps the most beautiful places I've visited.

Incredible Holiday

Villa Lighea is spectacular!!!! It was more than we were expecting. We are a family of 6 adults who spent a week at Villa Lighea this September and with its large luxurious rooms it is quite easy to have your own space and privacy. The balconies and patio areas offer incredible views of Positano and the sea. Our son fell in love with the professional kitchen and cooked for us for 3 days of our stay. Manuela and Maureen greeted us on our arrival with fresh lemonade and biscuits. It was great knowing that we had resources we could rely on. Maureen booked our private boat tour to Capri and was always ready with suggestions of things to do but the Villa was so lovely we didn't want to leave. Manuela, Roberto and Maureen are very warm, friendly people and were always available if we needed anything. It was an incredible family holiday from which we have many happy memories.

Amazing place we would love to come back to

My friends & I spent a week at the villa in the beginning of July. Pictures we saw on the web site don't really do it justice - superb property as is its location - on top of the hill, overlooking entire Positano bay. Rooms are tastefully done up, with lots of character and at the same time have a cozy, homely feel to them. Fantastic modern kitchen, we found everything we needed, and stunning terrace to enjoy an evening in. I had to log in to work from time to time, so indeed appreciated wireless internet connection. We found owners really friendly and helpful. They collected us in the pre-agreed place on arrival and given great advice of what is nice to see, places to eat and dance, etc. We had absolutely wonderful time and it's my pleasure to recommend the place to anyone.

Quintessential Mediterranean seaside Villa

Upon entering the villa we were amazed that the views and accommodations were more beautiful than the pictures on the website. The owners were very personable warm and kind. It had a convenient location with close walk to town. The accommodations were beautiful with outstanding views from every room (even the bathrooms!). The professional kitchen was easy to use while preparing our meals. Access to the beach via the rock staircase was an adventure but worth the climb. We loved the small pebbles that stuck to our feet while sunbathing at Arienzo Beach! We found the villa to be extremely clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful, from the baggage porters, cleaning staff, and concierge. A special treat was the coffee and cookies staff would make available in the mornings. We can't wait to return!!!!! Roberto and Maureen, keep the light on for us!!!!!!

This is definitely some place i want to come back to

The villa's location and ambiance exceeded our expectations. We not only loved the villa, but also Positano. Maureen, Roberto, and Manuela were very gracious, making sure our stay was the best it possibly could be. The pictures on the website are what you get, but even better, the rooms and baths are as beautiful as they are shown. We look forward to coming back - hopefully soon!
